Mornin' Y'all.
Just wanted to let you guys know that I'm crazy and signed up for the "National Novel Writing Month" contest, in which I will attempt to write a 50k word novel this month. The cool thing - the serendipitous thing if you will, is that I started working on a new novel Nov.1 of my own accord. I'm about 6500 words in. In order to finish on time I will need to write about 1800 words per day, which is totes doable. Anyhow, thought I would put it out here to the world. I would appreciate nagging. Thank you.

Good luck!!
you're not going to tell us the title or summary or anything? that's pretty weak...
I will in a bit. Want to get it a bit more rounded out. I'm kind of superstitious about revealing stuff to early on. I don't want to kill the mojo.
Are you writing right now? *nag*
I did way more than my quota for the day - ended up at a little over 10k which put me at something like 3600 words today. Boo YA!
No i didn't leave that comment though it sounds like i easily could have. Truth be told i think that's my pal mike kessler, who probably left you that because he thinks you're my wife. Could be wrong but if i'm not that's really funny.
I think you'll hit 50k pretty easily, hell you could probably hit 100! but will you have 50k that you're proud of? That's the tough one.

Weird. Why on earth would he think I'm your wife? First of all we aren't married, secondly my name is Kate - not Brooks. It's very mysterious. Well Mike Kessler you can suck it - cause I'm totally going to reach 50k - and not only that, the book I'm working on is fantastic. My best work yet. Current tally - 16183
Can only hazard a guess here, but he probably just followed the link from my blog to yours, saw the word 'mommy' in your handle and recognized that you are a writer - two things that you and brooks share - following which he then calculated 2+2=9 and voila, you are brooks kipp a.k.a mommykate and thereby in range for attack!
Again this is only speculation, for all i know it isn't even the same Kessler, or it is and he simply saw fit to baffle a complete stranger with a disparaging comment. I'm betting on the mistaken identity, but i also think that both of those other options have mediocre chances of being true ... it's a mystery!
